Join Ferdinand and his raucous coterie of furry and feathered friends in this enchanting journey through classic tales. Will Peter escape the wolf? Can the elephants keep up with the carnival procession? Can the Bird Catcher find himself a wife? These colorful creatures will be brought to life through music by Mozart, Saint-Saens, Ridout, Prokofiev and more.

Helena Baillie will be joined by Ryan Kamm on double bass and soprano Celine Mogielnicki Instruments to be featured will be violin, viola, double bass, soprano and piano (pianist TBD).

Helena Baillie, violin & viola London-born Helena Bailli was hailed by The Strad magazine for her "brilliance and poignance," and by American Record Guide for her "gorgeous singing tone". She stands apart for a rare ease on both violin and viola and has enjoyed a multifaceted career as a performer, artist fellow at Bard College, and violin faculty member at the Bard College Conservatory of Music Preparatory Division.

A prizewinner in international competitions including Munich ARD, Banff and Tertis, Helena has performed throughout Europe and the United States, with broadcasts on BBC Radio 3 and Performance Today for American Public Radio.

Helena graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studied violin with Arnold Steinhardt and viola with Roberto Diaz. She plays a 2012 violin made by Collin Gallahue in association with the studio of Brooklyn-based luthier Sam Zygmuntowicz. Her viola is a 2009 Sam Zygmuntowicz.
